James joined DW Simpson in 2008 to strengthen and lead the expansion of the European and Middle East regions. Starting his career in 1991 in the City of London, he brings a wealth of both recruitment and insurance experience to the role.

After completing his BSc in International Business and Law, James joined Middle Eastern giant Arig Insurance as a graduate trainee in London where he spent several years learning the basics. After his time at Arig he moved to Marsh and the fast paced environment of broking. Here he was responsible for managing and placing International Oil companies insurance programs. He worked in this capacity for several years before embarking on his career in recruitment in 1999.

Since then he has held several senior consulting positions with leading Insurance and Actuarial recruitment firms, the most recent of which he was responsible for leading a team of international actuarial recruitment specialists in European expansion and development.

James is experienced in placing candidates at all levels and all disciplines - from Non Life actuarial analysts to Chief Actuaries for International Life Companies.
